YF-23 Progress

Ok, It sure is takng a long time to build this one. Patients, I'm trying to do it right. I've got the Weapons Bay roughed out and I'm working on the A/C system behind the cockpit.

The Weapons Bay is coming along.

These pictures were taken last year, but I wanted to show them. The cockpit ia from the Aires 1/72 F-15E. I cut it in half and it matched the YF-23 layout. The rest is handmade the old fashion way.

That's the work on the canopy, I plan to put the handholds and mirrors from the Aires F-15E.

But maybe you should have made one thread, and posted all pics there? Also, it would be better if pics were not thumbnails. ;) (at least most people have decent connection here)

As you know the big fanboy of YF-23 i am, i will follow this one.

PS: I forgot, are you doing PAV-1 or 2? I think i remember you said PAV-1, but i might be wrong...

You should keep your build under one thread, otherwise it will get spread all over Hellls half acre, and won't make any sense.

Very creative approach to the cockpit! I was planning to use the PE set from an F-16C.

BTW, please consider putting your entire YF-23 build into a single thread. It will be easier to follow and comment on your progress.

Ok, the nosegear.Again, the well was not deep enough.and not the right shape.

I'm continuing to work on the YF-23 Weapons Bay. I've got the acess panels on the top of the bay almost done. First I cut out a paper model to check the fit in the model. I adusted the scal so that it fit 1/72. More later.
