I want to try to add the Ir seeker on the missiles, but i have no ideas on what to use. can any body help me? How about an MV Lens? They make some really small ones that would work perfectly. There's also a company out of Mexico (name escapes me at the moment) that makes similar lenses, including some with a slight smoke tint that would look great as a seeker head
Bulldog 09
What I did on my Hellfires for my 72nd Apache was sand off the seeker head section. Next punch out disk from silver sequence and attach they. The final step is build up the lenses by using Micro Kristal Klear. Here are a couple of shots of the finished product. Now don't worry about the seeker eyes being centered, if you look at a four pack of Hellfires on the rack you will notice that the "eyes" are looking in different directions. 4scourge7
Humbrol in the UK does stuff called `clearfix` that is used for canopy fixes and small `glass` areas. I`ve started taking the tip off the missile, painting the `cut` area silver with a dot of gunmetal at the centre, then a quick dip in the clearfix goo, moulded with a scalpel whiles still malleable, and the seeker head is sorted. I`m sure any clear resin or other equivalent would do the same job. (edit-such as Kristal Klear as mentioned by Dave) HTH, cheers, Ian Edited August 31, 2010 by Ian Buick
