splatcat
My dog ate my USS Excelsior and destroyed a bunch of other nonmodeling stuff one day when he was a puppy. To this day I maintain that there are no German SHeperds or Huskies (He's a Shepsky.) on Star Trek because no klingon would stand a chance against one. My son and the cat once started chasing each other around the house. Before I was able to stop them the cat jumped up o0n a shelf and took out several models. Most were easily repaired but some were shattered. My son was was scared at first then excitedly asked me if he could rebuild them! I was furious and proud at the same time. Eric Larson
Nothing too bad. Quite a few years ago my kitty, Mirage, gnawed off the refueling probe on my 1/48 Monogram A-4E Skyhawk. I lost about 1/2 inch of length, due to teeth marks but was able to re-attach the amputated probe end. It's not too noticeable. I've since learned to limit Mirage's access to my model room and to make sure the lowest shelves are above his reach! Cheers, Eric

ixgr1
My dog ate my USS Excelsior and destroyed a bunch of other nonmodeling stuff one day when he was a puppy. ........on Star Trek because no klingon would stand a chance against one. I can beat that ! "Ok, some of you have heard me complain about my Cockatoo's (Australian Parrot) "interaction" with my model stash.......We (wife and I) took the dogs for a romantic stroll, regaining our independant lives as the children are now growing up. -with me so far ? Uun benowns to me that I had left the shed/model-room open (having just fixed up the son's bike). -bet you can't guess what happened.......... Now any one of you whom have experiance with large Australian birds know they are much happyer going "free range" rather than being locked up. And being a greenie at heart (also being married to an urban hippie) we embrace this ! .........bet you guessed what happened !!!! Yep she did it !!....RAMPAGE!!!!!.....not only did she ANIALATE my 1/48 Italeri Cobra (boxed) - a perticular favorite of hers. She also got to the new Hobby Boss Tornado !!! ( thankfully the Tonka survived) She also found the un-cabineted Klingon Warship Fleet -must be a Romulan Bird ? I looked around, saying to myself, surly she didn't get to the............(built) 2 Sqn Tornado GR4 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAARRRRHHHHHhhhhhhhhhh !!!!!!!!!!!!!Barbecued Tropical Chicken Tonight !!!!!!!!!" Steve N
My mother's cat once destroyed a 1/72 PBY by knocking it off the top of a standup piano. I guess it was a CATalina CATastrophe. SN
majortomski
Reading over the new posts reminded me of the wifes white domestic short hair cat "Rocky". He LOVES plastic bags. I've found PE sets, decals, resin sets, my free flight model rubberbands alll over the house just because Rocky likes the feel of the bags when he chews on them. Haven't lost anything yet. rightwinger26
Max the Wonder Beagle almost shot down a Spitfire the other day, I just finished it and was admiring my work, when he decided he wanted to jump up and see what was going on, well, lets just say it was able to recover from the spin with only an antenna wire needing to be repaired.
