This is the old Testors 1:48 Mig-37B Ferret E kit. I thought the tail area was little to bulky so I chopped some off and redisignated it a Mig-37C. Since the cockpit was so sparse I wanted to hide it. I put some clear orange and then a light dusting of aluminium in the canopy and then covered that with some smoke to darken it up. In person you can still see through it a little but in the picture it looks very dark. This was the first time I built one of these old kits and the decals were extremely milky looking when I applied the first one. I didn't think they were going to work so I started looking in the left over decal box to find replacements. When I came back the decal had dried and looked OK, so I used the rest of the kit decals. I tried to put a marble finish on the wooden base but I think I need a little more practice on that technique.

Thanks for looking.

Hal
