172flogger
hi, are know photos of the full camouflaged soviet Tu-4 Bulls? Looking for a green-blue or gray but not-NMF plane. I just found a drawing with a black underside: http://wp.scn.ru/en/ww3/b/688/1/0 thanks
Jennings
Didn't we have a thread on this about a week ago? Same exact question? The answer is, as far as I have ever seen or heard, no. There were no camouflaged Tu-4s. The DA/VVS was not using camouflage during the time the Tu-4 was in service. J
Britaholic
Just had a look through, US aircraft in the Soviet Union and Russia which has a major section on the reverse engineering of the Tu-4 and all the photos show NMF aircraft. Cheers Den
172flogger
The same question I put to Britmodeller. I had hoped at the ARC forum will be more modellers from the ex-USSR and Eastern countries with access to Russian journals and publications. I would ask on their forums, but unfortunately I can not Russian. Neither read Cyrillic. Maybe some Tu-4 aircraft may be all gray. As a MiG-9 from the same period. I know that the Tu-4 images can be found very little.
kfmut
Hello! I couldn't remember any modern investigations on subject published here in Russia in past few years, so maybe you should check Gordon, Rigmant book in Red Star serie, but I think because of nature of atomic blast, atomic bomb carrier couldn't wear dark colors, including gray.
