Second had the Pink Panther (originally from the artwork cover of the musical score by the same name) and the Gun Platoon, Sidewinders, carried an image of an open mouthed snake. Here's the damage report on a/c 66-00747 and the pilot citation that followed. This is why that particular a/c is worthy of a replica . https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B9o_aPZ2cNxKVTFtaHpJZWpFZVU https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B9o_aPZ2cNxKcGxTbkxtZ2NzTnM https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B9o_aPZ2cNxKNDlrTHJYRTh6bjQ I totally agree, but I also believe that to the men who crewed them, nearly every Huey is worthy of a replica. I know I'd like to build every one that brought my dad back home safe. Since he flew as a backup doorgunner in every gunship in the unit (190th AHC), I have a LOT of choices! Pilot3a
totally agree! Btw... for a few shows back in the early 2000's I volunteered with AAHF. That's quite a group. Love your pic of the Cobra. ArmyStrong! Edited June 27, 2017 by Pilot3a

hawkwrench
Oooh, a Cobra ride. I bet that was fun! The AAHF had 2 Hueys and 2 Cobras up at the Dayton Airshow over the weekend. One Cobra had the Sky Soldiers scheme while the other one was painted up in a desert tan scheme. Tim
Pilot3a
I checked out the decal sheet from Kitty Hawk and I agree, the artwork made available by Joseph Osborne was far better. Kitty Hawk appears to have a white stroke around Annie. The way I got around that was to build Annie in Photoshop on a black background. Then I painted the radio door on the nose all white.. also somewhat of a necessity because my printed didn't have white as a native color. When I laid down the decal, the white area on the model made Annie 'pop' and the black of the decal covered blocked out the unwanted white radio cover. Here's the real deal: Here's the model (the blur is the camera not the decal):
