bdt13
The Memphis Belle is in Pittsburgh this weekend! Made the trek down to West Mifflin to see the old girl. She's been at at least one airshow I have attended before, which for me makes this like meeting an old acquaintance. Sorry for the photos - they are from my video camera! The album is here: http://rides.webshots.com/album/583072204uIJrFj?vhost=rides
SimFixer
You probably know this, but for those that don't (yes...they exist ;) ), the aircraft pictured is a probably the converted fire-bomber (serial 44-83546, registered N3703G) reconfigured to play the Belle in the 1990 movie. I think it even sports the original reg. numbers. The no-kidding Belle is undergoing restoration at the AF Museum in Dayton. Still.....even if she didn't see WWII service, it gives one goose bumps to see a piece of that era still flying. http://www.warbirdre...17-4483546.html Edited July 7, 2012 by SimFixer
