Jay Chladek
Seeing as how black can be a very tough color to get the right appearance to without appearing toy-like, I can see where you are going with the external weathering. But it might be a little over-weathered as F-117s spend practically all their times in hangars when not flying and as such typically don't get that much of a fade look in their RAM coatings. Of course, it could also be the photograph that is altering the color to look that accented. So maybe it looks darker in normal room lighting conditions. All things considered though, it looks great!!! Edited November 7, 2010 by Jay Chladek
scotthldr
I would also say that the weathering is over done as it looks more Grey than Black, but the technique is spot on. Only other thing is I would've added a touch of Bronze to the Engine Intake vents. Good all round build though
Oryx
But it might be a little over-weathered as F-117s spend practically all their times in hangars when not flying and as such typically don't get that much of a fade look in their RAM coatings. and I would also say that the weathering is over done as it looks more Grey than Black, but the technique is spot on. I agree that the white fading may be slightly overdone, but the gray is spot on when compared to photographs. F-117's look gray in all photographs that I have seen. It may be scale effect or just the effect that direct sunlight has on matt black? They were also not as clean and perfect as one might expect: http://www.airliners.net/photo/USA---Air/L...b11adba25dbecb4 http://www.airliners.net/photo/USA---Air/L...b11adba25dbecb4 http://www.airliners.net/photo/USA---Air/L...b11adba25dbecb4 http://www.airliners.net/photo/USA---Air/L...b11adba25dbecb4 Regardless, I think the model captures the F-117 very well. MarkW
Nice build. Does the CMK pit add much over the stock pit?

dahut
Looks nice. Like the soon to be retired Harrier, Im disappointed the Night Hawk is gone. I never really got the logic behind their removal.

aircommando130
Very nice F-117...they did a great job during Desert Storm. Rumor on the street is that Lockheed has six of them still flying in the Nevada desert. The rest being cut up and buried at Tonopah Test Range. The 117 served her country well
Youngtiger1
Zigi, simply beautiful. I hope my F-117 comes out half as good as your then I'll be happy Very nice work. Did you built it online? If so, I sure would like to read the whole thread and see all your photos. Mike
