yardbird78
The old visitor center at Pearl Harbor has been deteriorating rather rapidly for a number of years and is in dire need of replacement. It looks like the Park Service had done an admirable job of doing that. http://www.staradvertiser.com/news/2010110...the_attack.html Darwin,
Cyberzoid
Thank you for the link sir. I was just out there a couple of weeks ago and they were just finishing up the new visitors center, looks like i just missed it. It was an amazing place none the less. However, If anyone is planning to go out there, I would stay away from the air museum on Ford Island. It is very well done and very nice but they only have 6 aircraft in the main museum, and it's my understanding that only a couple of them are "real" (but don't hold me to that). I paid $33 — package deal for that and the USS Missouri, Individual price for museum was $20. There is another hanger with more aircraft to see but they wanted another $12 for it. So it's kinda pricey. The Missouri was worth every penny though. very cool!

jimz66
I didn't get a chance to read the whole article but I am very disappointed to see that the PHV are thinking of disbanding. That is too bad. It really is.
