I built one long ago and thought it was a great fitting kit that was an ease to put together. My painting sucked though Well, you learn stuff from seeing other people's builds, I'll have to try mounting like you did. nice presentation. Kit was a dream! Minimal sanding and no putty used at all. Only drawback was the cockpit. It was my first modern Tamiya model. All I've ever done was a few cars and WWII planes. I have a question; did you have any issues with the Black Box tub, even though its made for Monogram?
