Now that is what I like very much.

People who are forgiving of past and allowing a little{in this case MORE!}

COMPASSION AND UNDERSTANDING and listening .

KUDOS to the two MP''s {Major Kit Johnson and Colonel Kit Lambert } and the NHP officers...and

I think it is AWESOME that they took you on the base etc and you were able to have a FANTASTIC

time and the opportunity to take some STUNNING/SUPERB photos I am hoping ! :cheers: ;)

I bet you were the ONLY COOL photographer with personal helpful escorts !

WAY TO GO !!!

Nice shots, and looking forward to the rest when you get a chance to post them. I decided not to make the trip this year, so I will live it vicariously through your photos :worship:

I saw someone post on another site that he wasn't allowed into the base with a lens longer than 300mm - did you hear anything about that?

As to the lens - no. I had four people within 50 feet of me that were all using Canon 100-400 lenses - including me - and a guy behind me in the grandstands with what appeared to be a 500mm fixed lens. Lots of big lenses.

However, it was a similar incident last year - getting harrassed by the MPs at the check station - that caused me to watch the show out at the race track in stead of going into the show.

I saw the same thing online as well and actually talked to someone Sunday morning after I got on base that went through this...from what he said it was limited to only a few individuals managing parking in the Red Lot (off Las Vegas Blvd.). I had no issues in the Blue lot (off Speedway Blvd.) and actually got on base early from that side on both days.
