TEMPESTMK Posted November 26, 2010 Share Posted November 26, 2010 Good morning Here are some pics of my Airfix Spitfire flown by Free French pilot M CHORON during the Battle of BRITAIN : Maurice Choron (Born November 7th, 1911 - April 10th, 1942) French airman. Instructor(Monitor) of aviation of profession, Maurice Choron joins London and the free French Air forces in July, 1940. In September, he serves with the 64th Squadron, then in July, 1941 he is posted with the 609th Squadron, in April 1942 he joins the Groupe de Chasse Ile-de-France (Free French Squadron 340 ) under the command of lieutenant commander Philippe of Scitivaux. The day after this appointment, during the first sortie of the group he is saddly shoot down by german fighters and posted Mia .
