Looks sharp. The decals cover the big stuff accurately and perfectly proportioned, its just in the details I'm looking for a bit more. My bad for being so anal!

For example, the rescue device/access markings have been updated to include shilouettes of the devices where they are loacted. They are shown well in this pic of 102 which had a brand new paint job at the time:

Good example of them around the cockpit in this pic:

Charlie, I gather you're affiliated with CanMilAir? Is it a possibility to do a set with these updates and stencils? If so, I'll have an even longer wish/reference list!

Sorry, no affiliation. But CanMilAir is one of the official sponsors of this group build. The owner is also a member here, wmburns. For any decal work, its best to contact him through the company website and/or email.

But... is there a 1/144 Neptune besides the Aeroclub kit?

No.

How hard is that to find?

For most people, very hard. For me, very easy. There's one sitting in my closet - unbuilt, new in box, and in perfect condition. I'll likely put it on eBay sometime in the next week. One went for $70 not long ago on eBay, and Daddy needs a new iPad - however, I'll give preference to any ARC member who makes a reasonable offer before I list it.

my Pinocchio in 1/144 finally here in the correct place.

I changed the angle of the engines(they were too nose-up) and repaced the skinny wheels with spare box ones. It is a lot easier to fair in the nose in this small scale.

Exhausts are contrail tubing, my antenna on the belly didn't work great

Tony:

Great build! very pretty! What colour did you use for the "lowers" ?

Alvin5182

Lower colour is a mix gained from the old Argus Hobbies in Winterpeg;

all in Humbrol #s

#2 Gloss Emerald Green 2 parts

#15 Gloss Midnight Blue 2 parts

#22 Gloss White 85 parts

#40 Gloss Light Grey 60 parts

Good for Argus,Aurora,Neptune,Tracker,Sea King, and Dakota

If you use an eyedropper for 'drops' of paint--you will need 10 times the amount for a large A/C and 3-5 times the amount for the smaller A/C (1/72scale)

Cheers, Tony
