JMan
WOW, I knew I shouldnt have looked at this thread.....lol! Man you guys got some nice stuff. I wasnt able to go to Christmas, stayed here by myself. My kids and girlfriend got lots of stuff, but her family didnt get me anything, must not like me since I moved their daughter away from them. Oh well. Maybe for my birthday just another 2 months away! Now I should say great that you all had a Merry Christmas, and please have a safe and happy New Year! I guess I could say I got a Christmas gift. A whole week of modelling uninterrupted other than work and sleep! My brother also teased me a little saying that he went to Springfield about an hour and a half from here to the LHS and WAS going to get me a model but they were too expensive so I almost had one, but maybe he will go to Michaels in Branson, MO and get me the Revell F-15E, but Im not that lucky......lol! MikeC
Thanks to MrsC for Graham Haynes' "Bentwaters and Woodbridge": http://www.woodfieldpublishing.co.uk/conte...en-uk/p224.html Lots of inspiration to keep me busy on the modelling front. Now if anyone has the Revell 1:48 F-86D boxing with the 512th FIS markings and wishes to sell, please let me know. ipms33206
I didn't get anything from the immediate family. Parents got me a pro knife sharpening set and two boxes of Leveroution .30-30 ammo for my lever action rifle. It has been tough here too. Not necessarily money wise but many challenges we as a family had to face and deal with. We didn't put up the tree either. Just really wanting 2010 to be over with and 2011 here with new beginnings. oortiz10
MISB Monogram Flap Jack. There's a very special memory associated with that goofy kit, and the Mrs. went out of her way to track one down for me. It took some serious detective work, but the wife found one. Steve N
Nothing specifically model related, but like others here I got "The Pacific" box set on Blue Ray. I've watched about half of it so far. It's very good, but a word of warning: if you're already feeling a bit humbuggy as I was (spending Christmas alone and working) I would recommend watching something a bit more upbeat. datahiker
Micro-Mark's punch set (can't afford a Waldron set yet). A Revell 1/32 P-38J from my father-in-law, which is not a normal build for me so will be going to the bottom of the stash for now. And a $50 Amazon gift card with too many cool things in mind to spend it on. We got a Wii for the kids; they've been playing nonstop.

Two Mikes
Model wise From my dad a 1/350 Galley Models USS Wasp Other than that a new money clip/card holer (hate wallets) a pair of Smith sunglasses Thats it! Great time though as presents aren't important to me anymore. I LOVED watching our three year old son open his gifts and we gave the gift of extended life to a 9 month old male Bloodhound that was rescued from a puppy mill and starved for a couple of weeks. He is 20 pounds underweight and had to have half of his tail amputated due to infection but man o man is he an awesome dog! We are fostering him until we can adopt him out but, he gets along great with our 4 year old Bloodhound and my wife has made whisperings of adopting him ourselves! Overall a great weekend spent with family and friends. Who could ask for more?
Superjew
I got a check for $750 from my parents, good year in the stock market, oh and a camera. Last year was a bad year in the market so all I got from them was paper towels that year. I bought dad a bottle of jack daniels, and Mom I got "Getting back to even" by Jim Cramer from Mad Money. Im probably gonna get 100 shares of AGNC stock with my christmas money and some additional savings. Edited December 27, 2010 by Superjew
