Mike C
Well...I can't remember which colours I used, I know is white two greys all from Gunze and if I remember!!!!!????, they are "almost" straight from the jar. One thing I can remember is that that dark - almost black colour - couldn't get it right, till I discovered "midnight blue" from Gunze adding just a few drops of black to get it spot on, at least to my eyes. Alternative color combination for the Flanker's dark camo is equal part of Gunze Aqueous H322 (Phthalocyanine Blue) mixed with Tamiya X18 (Semi-Gloss Black). I used similar camo for my Su-47 Berkut what-if build a little while ago: CLICKY

SwissHornet
Actually my friend I think this particular bird is a Su-35BM ;) ...and some more pictures: Yesss, Su-35BM is a prototype of Su-35S. And you didn't answer my question: What company made this model?
zark
Sorry SwissHornet, the model is the Academy kit in 1/48 but with a lot of scratchbuilt work allover the airframe

Flankerman
Actually my friend I think this particular bird is a Su-35BM ;) Actually it isn't.... There is a lot of confusion about this designation. It has the Sukhoi in-house designation of T10BM - and was originally to be called Su-27BM. It followed on from the Su-27SM. Think of it as SM = 'Small Modification' and BM = 'Big Modification' - not strictly accurate but useful in describing Phase 1 and Phase 2 upgrades to the Su-27. Su-27BM was to be the RusAF version - with Su-35 being used for any export variants. There was never a 'Su-35BM'. Then, confusingly, it received the RusAF designation of Su-35S - with the 'S' presumably meaning 'series' or production. Even more confusing is the fact that they have re-used the 'Su-35' number - causing confusion between the 'old' Su-35 (T10M) - bort number 710 to 712 (with 711 being the Su-37 for a time!) and the 'new' Su-35S (T10BM - bort number 901 & 902). I hope this clears it up....... Fantastic model BTW Zark !! Ken

EagleAviation
Great work on the two opponents Zark! Is the painting on the Raptor freehand or did you use some kind of mask?
