Don't worry about that white stuff. I'm not so fond about it either. But thankfully it's been thawing the last few days, so perhaps winter is coming to a close to this time. /Bosse
Marlin
Hi Gang, I've been too much busy at work lately but, tonight I had finally some time over for some building. I've painted Ms Tarmil in silver. The topside needs another coat of paint, but the underside is done. After the second coat on the topside, I'll buff it up some and then clearcoat it. I've also done some puttying on Ms Moshel. I had hoped to start painting her tonight, but some seams needed a bit more putty. Hopefully I'll can start painting tomorrow evening. To be continued....... /Bosse
Uncle Uncool
Just keep all of that #$$%^&*&^%$%$## white stuff at your place. I don't want any of it here. ;) Aw, deer...!!! How could have ya said sumthin' like that...? S _ _ w is the nastiest 4 letter word in the language. Ya mean Shaw? Show? Stew...? Skew...? Slow...? Spew...!!! Don't worry about that white stuff. I'm not so fond about it either. But thankfully it's been thawing the last few days, so perhaps winter is coming to a close to this time. Outrageous...!!! In the land of the snow, that statement is like I'd yap against tenderloin beef 'n' noice-arsed sheilas down here in the land of the "meat"! Be that as it may, at least yer progress on the "Mss. Snoopers" still show some sort of good sense. ;) Ms Moshel looks like a Nesher with a surprise; me thinks I'm hopelessly in luv... Quite a busy week, "me deer?" Hope ya have some rest durin' the weekend; have some brews 'n' enjoy yer spare time with the family, my mate. Ya hear? Cheers, Unc² Edith Piaf: Bosse, ya there!!! Marlin
Howdy Folks..... It's been a friday-nighter for me, and that means a few ales, lagers, bocks etc..... And a few hours at the building table. I've primed Ms Moshel. I've also done the first coat of clear varnish on Ms Moshel. And I've started on Ms Tznuit. Soo it's been a busy evening. Now I'll finish the last of my ale and just relax....... /Bosse
Marlin
Good Evening. I've now clearcoated Ms Tarmil a second time and the underside is ready for the decals. But I've still have to clearcoat the topside before that happens. And I've also started painting Ms Moshel. She is far from ready to decal. I've got the brown and green to do and at least two coats of paint before it's done. To be continued..... /Bosse
Uncle Uncool
:( Aw, that ain't Pale Ale, Bosse; it looks quite like JP-1 fuel to me... :P Sure Ms Tarmil was goin' like, "May me have some, please...?" ;) Cheers, my mate! Unc²

Marlin
Hi. I'm still very busy at work so my build-time is a bit too short these days. But I've done the first layers of paint on Ms Moshel. Now I've to sand this and repeat for at least two times. I've also finshed the IP for Ms Tznuit. This pre-painted Eduard PE almost feels like cheating... Right now I'm trying to get the NLG together so I can get the cockpit into the fuselage. But with soo little time over for modeling at the moment that will take some time. To be continued...... /Bosse
Marlin
Hi gang, Just a quick update. I've suffered from a slight buildersblock lately, but today I finally got my order from Eduard, the new MiG. That did it for me, and now I can build again. I want to clear my workspace so I can start the MiG. I've masked off the antennas and noscone on Ms Tarmil. And I've started on the second paintlayer on Ms Moshel. Back to the worktable..... /Bosse
yardbird78
The finish line is in sight! How many of those Mirages with nose jobs are you still working? Darwin
Marlin
The finish line is in sight! How many of those Mirages with nose jobs are you still working?Darwin I'm working on four, Tarmil, Moshel, Tznuit and Tashbetz. Tashbetz is on hold until I get the replacement of the missing resinparts. I plan on having Tznuit ready for painting by the weekend. So I guess I'm at the halfway point at this time. /Bosse
agelos2005
nice work but why dont you get an airbrush? you can still see the brush strokes especially on the light brown which i think it needs at least two more coats!
Marlin
nice work but why dont you get an airbrush?you can still see the brush strokes especially on the light brown which i think it needs at least two more coats! Thanks, Maybe someday, but not at the moment. I'm living in an appartment and I do my building in the livingroom. And I can't spray in the livingroom, the only place I possibly could do it is out on the balcony. And that's not an option in winter here in Sweden. I think you're right about the coating, two more coats are needed. The sand is painted twice in the picture, the brown and green is only painted once. :) /Bosse
Marlin
Hi Gang, Here's an update on what I've been doing the last few days. I've closed the fuselage on Ms Tzniut, but unfortunally one of the fuselage halves is a little short in the end. But this is no problem to fix. I've added a bit of plasticard The fake intake and shockcone are also in place. I've added some small plasticard strips to get the intakes to line up with the wing. I didn't do this on Ms Tashbetz and had to use a lot of putty. Hopefully this will be a better one. Add some internal bracing to get the wings and fuselage to line up. To fix the hole this is how I did it. Then some good old tubglue and some shavings from leftover sprue. Let the shavings desolve in the glue and then add to the area. When the "goo" had set for a while I dosed it with Tenax to smooth it out. And now this morning it's rock hard. So I guess it's time to start sanding. To be continued. /Bosse
HOLMES
Bosse, IMPRESSIVE work so far..Looking very good indeed.

Marlin
Hi again, The "Goo" wasn't that hard after all. It went soft again when I started to sand it. So I'll leave to set for a day of two. Soo, I decided to work on the other end of Ms Tzniut instead. Off with the radome. And start to add the Tzniut parts. Quite nosey, Hey ? As this was setting, I started to paint the ATAR-9C exhaust. Soo, Ms Tzniut is coming along quite nicely. I guess I'll have almost all the resinbits done by tomorrow.... To be continued..... ;) /Bosse
Uncle Uncool
:D Deer mutha of gawd! Whut happened with "them" missin' chunk of fuselage down there, mate? Were ya suddenly hungry or sumthin'? Hope it ain't that the blokes at Eduard boxed the kit that way, or else, me might start thinkin' ya're the hardest luck modeller eva, Bosse... Anyways, yer fix was superb! Me thinks next time ya may just square off the corners in order to fill the void evenly with some curved sheet stock. ;) Quite nosey, Hey ? Bloke, indeed! I ain't quite able to wonder how difficult taxiin,' takin' off, flyin' 'n' landin' that ugly mofo might have been! Oughta have been like drivin' those vehicles with a bonnet larger than life, sorta thingy... :D Incidentally, me sees ya're still collectin' radomes, huh? Plan to do anythin' with 'em? Cheers, lad Unc²
Marlin
Thanks Unc. Yes, the QC at Eduards missed this one. I'd like to see a cockpit wiev from this one also. There couldn't be very much front view. /Bosse
Marlin
Hi, Well I guess it's time for another update. I've got the Goo sanded and polished. The "goo" method seems to work very well. I've also added almost all remaining resinbits to Ms Tzniut. Strakes and an antenna. Bellytank. Had to use a bit putty on this. Unfortunally I had a slight gap on the intakes. But a small strip of plasticard solved that. And I've also done some matt black in the camera compartment. I've got some small bits to do and some polishing, but I don't think it will take that long before I can start painting this one. To be continued... /Bosse
yardbird78
That is one monster hunk of nose stuck out there. Is there something "pointy" still to be attached? Darwin
