Suggestions for Wingnut Wings

Recommended Posts

I know that WNW looks at various forums from time to time looking for ideas.

Here's two for consideration that I'd like to see in 1:32 scale:

Roland C.II

Hannover CL.III

I'd like to see the following:

Martinsyde Elephant

Phonix D.II/III

Hanriot HD.1

Ansaldo SVA.5

All will be done in Small Air Forces after WW1.Well I will try to do that.

I think we need more of the French planes, other than the Nieuport and Spad fighters.

The French had plenty of two seat observation planes and bombers. Why have they been ignored by all the model manufacturers? Even Battle Axe fell down on the French two seaters.

And how about the Italian planes?

Yes, I know, having duels in the sun at 5,000 feet is quite romantic and heroic and all that comic book crap.

But the main function of the airplane in war is observation and bombing. Not at all romantic and somewhat pedestrian but just as heroic as the fighter pilots with their spiffy medals and all that bumpf.

And don't tell me that the fighters did a bit of ground strafing. So what? The fighter's main role was gaining mastery of the air so the observation and bomber aircraft could go in and do the real work.

At least WNW is giving us some sorely needed two seaters and I thank them for that. But it would be good to include some of our French and Italian ally's planes.

Thus spake Stephen

How 'bout a PT-13/17 or N2S Stearman? Yeah, it's a bit late for WWI, but it's still a fabric covered, pre-WWII bipe...

IIRC, didn't Wingnut Wings state that they were only ever going to make aircraft that participated in WWI? Silver Wings, on the other hand, might consider making one.

Which WWI plane was best looking? I would like Wingnut Wings to make that. As you might have guessed, i m not a follower of WWI planes. In fact, i m afraid of making one. The Wingnut Wings kit have excited me very much but i dont know if i will ever buy one.

My favourite WW1 aircraft are probably;

Morane Saulnier Type L

Vickers FB.5

Breguet 14

Lebed XII

Sopwith Snipe

Fairey III

Fokker DVIII (or is there one?)

Aviatik C.I

Pfalz D.III

Albatros B.I

Any of which would be nice!
