ssculptor
I think we need more of the French planes, other than the Nieuport and Spad fighters. The French had plenty of two seat observation planes and bombers. Why have they been ignored by all the model manufacturers? Even Battle Axe fell down on the French two seaters. And how about the Italian planes? Yes, I know, having duels in the sun at 5,000 feet is quite romantic and heroic and all that comic book crap. But the main function of the airplane in war is observation and bombing. Not at all romantic and somewhat pedestrian but just as heroic as the fighter pilots with their spiffy medals and all that bumpf. And don't tell me that the fighters did a bit of ground strafing. So what? The fighter's main role was gaining mastery of the air so the observation and bomber aircraft could go in and do the real work. At least WNW is giving us some sorely needed two seaters and I thank them for that. But it would be good to include some of our French and Italian ally's planes. Joe Hegedus
How 'bout a PT-13/17 or N2S Stearman? Yeah, it's a bit late for WWI, but it's still a fabric covered, pre-WWII bipe...
vince14
How 'bout a PT-13/17 or N2S Stearman? Yeah, it's a bit late for WWI, but it's still a fabric covered, pre-WWII bipe... IIRC, didn't Wingnut Wings state that they were only ever going to make aircraft that participated in WWI? Silver Wings, on the other hand, might consider making one. vince
stalal
Which WWI plane was best looking? I would like Wingnut Wings to make that. As you might have guessed, i m not a follower of WWI planes. In fact, i m afraid of making one. The Wingnut Wings kit have excited me very much but i dont know if i will ever buy one.
