Phil marchese
I assume there is no 1/114 scale or larger kit . I've but away parts for three scals about 20 years ago: 1:144; 1:100; & 1:72 scales. B-29 wings form part of the project in all three scales. There are excellent, demensioned Boeing General Arangement drawings that have appeared in various publications. I have those and have scaled them to all three sizes. I have extra 1:144 Airfix Boeing Clipper hulls ( was planning an XB-15 with the wings*); a Execuform 1:72 Grumman Gedgion for the 1:100 and a Coronado hull as starting point for the 1:72. I'm willing to settle for realiable accuracy, or so I say before the plastic starts flying for real. I want the big tri-color version with type 3 red trim stars. It's been all built in my mind for years...but that's on the couch, not the worktable. Anyone got one on the worktable or the display shelf? Any thoughts? * I know there is a kit now. Phil marchese
Just more food for thought for what to serve as leftovers from an XB-15.
