Deacon
This helicopter was used by the British army as a liaison aircraft carrying out forward observation etc. Here is a photo of the box and contents........... I'm looking forward to this build as it would appear to be an easy kit to put together and I'm looking foward to adding this aircraft to my Brit collection. Deacon
OK, it may appear that I have worked miracles, but this is not the case. I asked Julien if this build would be OK for the GB on the 12th January, so this next shot is of the progress to 15th January . This was always going to be a minimum photo WIP as I wanted to get cracking on the build rather than take photos of every step. More to follow tonight. yardbird78
Nice work so far. The cast from M.A.S.H. would love it. Darwin
Deacon
Thanks Darwin. If I was going to finish it as a Yank helicopter, I would have sourced some Korean War figs. :D Another photo, but I should have it finished tonight as I had a days leave yesterday so got plenty done. The paint was still drying when I took this. Deacon Edited January 18, 2011 by Deacon

Julien (UK)
Looks great! Does the kit come with stretchers to attach? reason I ask is I would like to build one for my Dad, he was a medic and remembers these little birds. When he was training they strapped them in the stretchers and gave them a ride so they could see how it would be for casualties. Put him off helos for a long time! Julien No mate. :D But I'm sure that there is a stretcher within a 1:72 plastic soldier set (possibly Airfix). I was thinking about how the guys must have been strapped to the sides of these things. I don't blame your dad at all :P Deacon Edited January 19, 2011 by Deacon
texgal45
Very nice work on the little "Bell with a Bubble". Those things really did a lot of work during the Korean War and pretty much set the standards for the Air Rescue forces that followed in Viet Nam and since.
