Phantom ordie
Visited there last summer,an awesome place. The new wing is supposed to be open soon.. Get to watch the Blue Angels practice during the week. Plan atrip this year.
Wolfgun33
Yeah was there last year too. One of the best aviation museums i've ever been too. Tons of aircraft. I am a little jealous though. When I went, I wasn't allowed to get close up pics of the aircraft outside. Did get to see the Blue Angels practice. That OV-10 wasn't there and neither was the older A-6 that was outside. Well, guess this means that we'll need to go again.
Jinxter13
WOW!!! Thanx for the link....that is an aviation buffs dream....especially for naval aviation. If at all possible that is on my bucket list.
Sunliner
I'm fortunate to have lived in the general area, and still pass through a few times a year. It is well worth a trip. The aircraft and facility are stunning, and you get to meet a lot of current and former aviators and ground crew who volunteer there. Some of the 'informal' converstations I've had there were worth the trip by themselves. -Mike

Sig Saur & Son
Nice job shooting those pics.
Tricose
Some really great shots you have in the album. The one thing that really stuck out as unique to the displays was the use of TailHooks for holding the aircraft name plates. Hopefully someday they will have all those aircraft indoors and out of the natural enviroment. The nose on the "retired" Fat Albert sure was showing its age and wear, Thanks, Tricose

VFA-103guy
Nice set of pics! Looks like Black Lion 204 is already in need of a new paint job.
terrysumner
I've made 3 trips to Pensacola from Connecticut and went to the museum each time. This is the best museum. I love the display of the Blue Angels A-4's in the diamond position hanging from the ceiling. For those who have not been there, these are not models but the real thing...all hanging from the ceiling as if they were a model display. Very Cool. And they have a good souvenier shop too... Lot's of unit patches and other stuff.
Britaholic
Fantastic photos of a fantastic collection, thank you. Cheers Den
VFA-103guy
One thing I wanted to point out was, did anybody notice the VA-35 A-6 is actually a KA-6D? I took walk arounds of that jet like 7 years ago and at the time, it was loaded for bear with MK-82 slicks. When I asked our escort about the plane, he itold me that A-6's had red lights at the top of the tail, and KA-6D's have green lights. The example here has a green light. I'm not up to par on KA-6D's, but it makes sense to me.
datsun74
Great Photos! I live in the area as well and just visited the new hanger. Not to steal anyones thunder/post but if you would like to see pics I have two albums on my facebook page. I'm under Aaron Malone in Orlando. My profile pic has me hanging out the window of a B25. Glad to contribute and thanks again for sharing to the original poster. I kept some of the outside shots myself, .
Wolfgun33
When I was there I bought the book that has just about all the aircraft in the museum in it. Very good book. It's just unbelievable how many aircraft are there.
phantom
I loved my trip there a couple years ago. Going to be within a couple 100kms again in March but not sure I'll have the time this year. Mind you I told the boss we WILL do either it or Wright Patterson on the way home.
