Test fit of side cowlings First step in cleaning up oil cooler vent second step in cleaning up oil cooler vent Carefully cutting speed brake section, will make housing later Wing sections cut, note bumps (circled red) for operating gear doors need to be removed, fill back sides of bump then file outside flush. drhornii
Fuselage update set all fared in, had to fill some pin holes and incorrect cowl door actuator hole. Also, all the raised rivets were removed and the groove (to indicate the black area to hide oil stains) is not there on the real AC so it was filled with fine plastic rod & sanded smooth. Since this photo was taken, the exhaust piped were removed since the resin parts were chipped. Wil add plastic tubes for exhaust later. Next I decided to pose the speed brake open so I am building the master and will cast these details soon. Still need to clean it up a little and add the hydraulic actuators. The hole for the SB housing is intentionally over sized and will be fared into the belly of the wing. Edited February 12, 2011 by drhornii
