DutyCat
Yesterday IPMS First Coast in Jacksonville, FL hosted Jaxcon 2011. We had a pretty good turn out (463 models entered). Best Aircraft and Judges Grand Award went to Ken Belisle's beautifully crafted OV-1 Mohawk. I have posted a few pictures of it below. Ken has to be one of the best modelers on the planet. He has been turning out stunning work for decades. IPMS First Coast wants to thank all of those who came out to support this year's show. We hope to see you again next year! Enjoy! thegoodsgt
Along with Derek Brown and John Vojtec, Ken is probably among the top five modelers in the world. From the 2008 IPMS Nats in Virginia Beach, here's an A-7 he built using -- believe it or not -- the old, 70's era Hasegawa A-7A! Proof that it's the modeler who makes a masterpiece, not a so-called state-of-the-art kit that we all seem to obsess over. His 1/72 F-4G from the same convention. And a 1/48th masterpiece, also from the convention. Can you tell I'm a fan? Maybe I'll create a Facebook fan to honor his work!
