clioguy
Great build, looking good.... 1 comment if I may... unless you are building a "brand new out of the factory" bird, don't you think that the cockpit and especially engines could have done with a wash to get them a bit dirty? Andrew Doppel
The engines have a wash on them but I need to get some more brown to dirty them more. The cockpit I'm still working on as more instruments need to go in yet. Regards Andrew
cheeley
It's a big bugger! It'd be great to have one of these, but it's close to $400NZD over here. That's about $300AUD God knows where I'd put it though.... EDIT TO ADD: Sterling work so far! Edited April 28, 2011 by cheeley
Andrew Doppel
Thanks Cheeley, You know it comes with RNZAF decals? Regards Andrew

Thommo
Geez that's a bloody neat build Andrew. Interesting to me that you have put the wheels and props etc on before painting? If i did that i'd either knock them off or get overspray all over em.
Andrew Doppel
Unfortunately Thommo you don't get the option of doing those areas separately and then inserting them. Going to have to do some serious masking. have some brass guns to fit so I can move on. Regards Andrew
madmike
Andrew That is looking damn impressive. Are you going to bring it along to expo next year?
Andrew Doppel
I hope to Mike. That depends on the owner as it is a commission build. Regards Andrew
Andrew Doppel
Here's a quick update from last night's work on the 'beast'. I have added brass Hispano cannon barrel replacements from Master as the kit barrels were warped and I got the replacements to review for Aussie Modeller International. I don't think I'll get this finished within the next day and a half but I'll give it a crack! Regards Andrew
Andrew Doppel
If it wasn't for the stupid left U/C collapsing I would've finished this project by tomorrow night but alas it ain't going to happen. Here's the build with basically everything done except a little putty and paint. It's mainly the front guns and some more interior stuff. The kit guns Montex/Master brass barrel replacements The ammo shoots added The guns fitted The nose shut U/C doors fitted, engine cowls dry fitted and an overall view The underside guns and some detail Regards Andrew (who would really appreciate one or two more days before closing submissions)
Andrew Doppel
I think I can get it done before the close of business. From this morning to this afternoon; Montex masks used Regards Andrew
