haneto
So finally here it is after finishing for over half a year. This diorama has been published on Air Modeller Vol. 32 and Vol. 33, so I would be more than honorable if you could buy the magazines. And for those who's interested in the in-progress thread, here it is online: Fulcrum once more!, ICM MiG-29 9-13(6/20 All Done) First comes with the over all diorama looks. MiG-29 9-13 from 1/72 ICM kit with lots of correction/detailing work while APA-5D airfield starter from ARMORY conversion kit based on ICM Ural-4352 kit. Electric pole and other things scratch built including figures, and yes, that 1/72 Russian pilot has been resin casted and would be on sale very soon. Here'e go~! marek_1101
Well painting and detailing model but....... ...... as a former MiG's technician I can see some mistakes. In really aviation first important things is H&S and other precautions. On missiles have to be RBF's - safety pins and covers on missiles had !!! Next one pilot is wearing seat belts why did you make seat belts again on ejection seat? Air brakes in open position ? Why? Have you ever seen it opened on the picture without pressure in hydraulic installation? I knew it's make model more attractive but it is against to realism. Like I sad at the beginning nice model if you can improve this things it will be very good display model.
Unang
Outstanding. Your attention to detail is incredible. I kept having to remind myself that this wasn't in 1/48 but in 1/72. Incredible is the only word for it. Well done old chap!

Flankerman
Yufei, Please stop doing such fantastic work - you are making me feel so inadequate. I'm now giving up modelling and I'm going to join a monastery. Seriously though - incredible modelling and painting - and a great diorama. Ken

haneto
Thank you for all of your great comments, guys, really! I have been "kept" this one for half a year and finally feel relief to release it to public at end! You can also notice the beginning of this built is actually in 2009, so totally 2 years has passed. Take time, take effort, with love, and you can also make it. Believe me or not! Well painting and detailing model but............. as a former MiG's technician I can see some mistakes. Thank you for the comments, Marek. I really appreciate it so much. All your mentioned questions are true.I also learned them from some online Russian air force airfield pictures. Well, I just want to keep this MiG-29 as a single work to be shown, too. Because those red covers are all movable from the model but I cannot find a way to attach the missile covers without gluing them. (A littile pity for those highly detailed missiles) As for the pilot, he wears an IPS-72 harness outside so you're again right! There's no need for the seat bels shown on the ejection seat. (Actually that pilot is a resin copy from my works so I didn't make too much correction to him to fit this diorama, sorry!) I guess Polish pilots also use IPS-72, right? And the airbrakes, yep!you are totally right! There's no reason for it to be opened if a pilot is ready to climd into! Well, again you guessed me right.Modelling is some affair of "show". I'm now preparing make a Polish Navy MiG-21bis, and I'd be very honorable to receive more comments from a real MiG technician!! Gorgeous build, Yufei! A real masterpiece! It's hard to believe the kit is 1/72 scale! Very nice and skillful paintwork and weathering! Cheers and happy modeling! Alexander Thank you, Alexander! I'm far away from your works, master! How's everything with your 1/32 Fulcrum built? Yufei,Please stop doing such fantastic work - you are making me feel so inadequate. I'm now giving up modelling and I'm going to join a monastery. Seriously though - incredible modelling and painting - and a great diorama. Ken Thanks Ken! Especially joked by the Flanker Master, my greatest honor! And thank you all for your encouragements again, folks! Your words are my best energy for new works!! Cheers, Yufei
