Squadron Open House

Rather than start a new thread I am reviving this one - did Squadron have their annual Open House this year? I haven't seen or heard anything about it...

Scalefest is this weekend, 30May2015, as for the Squadron open house I do not think they are having one this year. I know that Squadron is under new management so they may have skipped it and are concentrating on Eagle Quest.

There will be no open house this year, supposedly due to the renovations they're doing to their office. I've been told they bought a large number of tables at Scalefest, though. Vagabond will be there, but I won't be vending this year.

Sounds like a typical squadron move. I'd be surprised to see anymore open Houses unless you're paying money for tickets to be attending their open house at eagle fest. They've done real good about doing away with everything good that they used to have going for them. I black listed them after they changed their black Friday routine from having great deals, to only offering slight discounts on select items.... Any of them that were noteworthy were always sold out. So it's essentially turned into a way for them to liquidate their crap and make people fee like they're getting a deal. No thanks. And now they've axed open house unless you spend 50 bucks to attend their event? No thanks.

At Scalefest, they were selling tickets to just the open house portion of Eagle Quest for $25, with a 40% discount at the warehouse (off MSRP or their regular prices or what, exactly?). By some admittedly offhand math, you'd have to buy $65 worth (at full price) of stuff just to break even on the deal, having paid $25 for the ticket, vs. purchasing at no discount. Only after you've hit that are you getting any discount, but it would average less than the 40% discount until you hit about $700 worth of merchandise. Even then, from a pure math standpoint, you'll just approach the 40% discount, but never truly reach it...
