Thorsten Wieking
Excep for the Avro Bison, I saw no ugly planes in this thread - more interesting forms, designs, or examples for "form follows function". Cheers Thorsten
MiG31
Excep for the Avro Bison, I saw no ugly planes in this thread - more interesting forms, designs, or examples for "form follows function". You adopt a very strict definition of ugly, then, because there are some certain candidates to be found here. I don't view ugliness as a function of an aircraft's design characteristics, but rather its aesthetics. Planes like the Il-40 and X-32 fit the bill by that standard. richter111
How some of these aircraft ever flew is beyond me, they just look impossible.
TomcatFanatic123
http://www.noulakaz.net/weblog/images/2006...bye-bye-f14.jpgShould I start running now? Jokes aside, the Tomcat does have a certian finess to it. RYAN. Run all you want...you'll only die tired...<_<. Actually, that was kinda funny
PetarB
How some of these aircraft ever flew is beyond me, they just look impossible. You can make a brick fly if you want to - you just need the appropriate amount of thrust. <_<
wh1skea
You can make a brick fly if you want to - you just need the appropriate amount of thrust. ...And a pair of J79's can provide enough thrust.
Joe Hegedus
It's not the ugliest, but she ain't that pretty either: net photo I've also wanted a kit of an Optica in 1/72 for ages. Maybe not the most attractive of airplanes, but it looks like it'd be a lot of fun for sightseeing flights!

HOLMES
See I DO NOT find them ugly at all..I think that they are aesthetically challenged and have a certain refulgency about them... One or two one here are quite refulgent I would say... But that is ME ...{weird}.. HOLMES...who loves planes, traines and automobiles...
