Erik Bultz
Hi guys, For some out there who don't know, I have and own decals for Selfridge 927TH Kc-13E/R Tankers, I had help making them, for the reason that people retiring from the squadrons or leaving wanted a model with the sqadon's markings. A friend of my dad was the one who built models for display in and around the hangers on base. Now, I know there has been a wanting for new tanker markings, and I haven't released them yet, however I put myself in a tough situation. I owe my parents money for helping me in a hard situation. Now I would like to know if there would be anyone interested in a sheet. I got a new photo inkjet printer from my Father in Nov from the early bird on base. I am getting ready to use it for photos and printing some decals. Is there anyone who would like to buy a sheet and help me out. I am not charging alot for them. If anyone is interested in seeing the markings here is what is on the sheet for these plane. the marking are on 3 decal sheets. I will post pictures of the sheets tonight. Erik Bultz
here are pictures of two of the 3 sheets printed on regular paper. They were printed on a older printer, and not the new photo printer i have. The sheets printed on and the decal paper i have 8x11. Jennings
Those look great! You could save yourself a lot of decal paper (and thus expense) by getting rid of all the duplicate stuff though. 99.99% of people are only going to build one airplane off of a sheet like that, so I'd only put one or maybe two sets of the common markings. Erik Bultz
Thank yoou jennings for your comments. i also have markings for 1/72 scale c-130e aircraft of the 191st, or is it the 127th. black and yellow checker board.
Jennings
The 171st Squadron had (past tense!) C-130s, now of course with KC-135Rs. The 191st is (was?) the group, and the 127th is the wing. The other Selfridge squadron is the 107th, now with the former 172nd A-10s from Battle Creek.

I will be posting pictures of the c-130 markings soon. I still have to size them up on a model correctly for both scales. Edited April 11, 2011 by Erik Bultz
Jennings
Of course you realize that putting 171st markings on a trash hauler is just very, very slightly shy of blasphemy, right? :) From what I heard, when the F-16 >> C-130 transition announcement was made, the mad rush for the door created a vacuum inside squadron headquarters that nearly brought the roof down. UKPonchoMan
Count me in for a sheet - assuming it's 1/72 of course!
Erik Bultz
The Decals are 1/72.....that is for now. I holwever have bigger plans for down the road, as my master building gets better. I am going ot shed light on something that I have the plans and means to do scratchbuilding for 1/48 707, and a kc-135r. I own 2 of the id models kits which are not for sale. cause they are going to sho me how to make mine not only better, but more accurate, cause the id vacs are not accurate in sizing in areas of the jet. It wont be a solid resin kit, though it will contain parts that are. only large parts like the fuselage and wings. I am taking my time with the project and making sure it is a winner. thegoodsgt
There could be a market for those in 1/144 if/when Minicraft releases their kit of the KC-135, which IIRC will be an E. I guess what I'm saying is, stay close! :)
