Dave Williams
ZM announced first, but Tamiya will release first, and in the end that's what will count.

ChesshireCat
Hi all,Don't know if anyone has checked this link yet.... http://www.hlj.com/product/TAM60322 Well, for all Mustang lovers , enjoys... for a Hellcat lover, never mind Chris I think I'd wait awhile. I saw the 1/32 Tamiya Spits for $99 and $95 over the weekend, and there were no takers. Now we got Hobby Boss doing a MK. V with a list price of $75, but I've already seen them for about $50. Maybe four years ago you could have sold a bunch of $120 Spitfires or Mustangs, but these days your gonna eat a few of them. Money's tight, and folks ain't buying a new Porsche these days. Will the Skyraider be a success? I think it will because it fills a nitch long over due. Had they done a P61 instead; I think it would have been the kit of the year. I think Tamiya would have been far better off doing an A36 or a P51B instead. But I'd rather seen a P47 out of them rather than another generic P51D. By the way I love the Tamiya Spitfires before you hang me by my thumbs gary
Shawn C.
I don't care if the ZM kit magically shows up on the hobby shop shelves tomorrow. I'm waiting for the Tamiya kit. This will probably be the first kit I will ever pre order!
Jennings
I think Tamiya would have been far better off doing an A36 or a P51B instead. Why? The A-36 is a very minor sidebar in the P-51 story with exactly one choice of color scheme (OD/NG). I can't imagine the uproar if Tamiya had announced a Mustang and then delivered an Allison engined variant. People would have run them out of town on a rail. If the kit is engineered correctly, a B isn't out of the question for the future. Look what they've done with the Spitfire. I'd lay odds next year (or maybe less) will see a B/C, but certainly not an Allison Mustang. J
Dave Fleming
Why? The A-36 is a very minor sidebar in the P-51 story with exactly one choice of color scheme (OD/NG). Two!
