For Three Mile Island, see a good book. (Yea, I know. Buzz Killington here, suggesting a book. Like riding the bus, eating non-fat Vanilla Ice Cream, and visiting one's in-laws. If you look through EnglishRussia site there are quite a lot of photo articles on the disaster, including some photos taken at the time... a video of one of the helicopters that was used crashing, and all manner of other stories about it all.
