Cessna 177B Cardinal

Recommended Posts

Anyone know of a kit, any scale, of a Cessna 177B (or A, even an RG) Cardinal that may be out there? I'm looking to build one for my brother who owns such a bird. Plenty of 172's, 182's and 150's out there but I've yet to find a 177 of any model. Thanks in advance.

No scale plastic kits ever. :(

Your only hope is to scratchbuild one. As you'd know, they're a 'clean sheet' design, so kit bashing could be done, but it's just be faster and easier to start from scratch.

That being said, if you've not done any scratchbuilding before, it's be a fairly straight forward first subject, and with the 1-1 reference to hand, you could really go to town on it :D

Keep us posted,

Much easier, order from this guy. I've gotten GREAT service out of him for under $200.00 you can't go wrong, esp. if it's your brother's airplane.

In my civilian flightline days we used to own the 1977 Cessna brochure cardinal. I LOVED flying that plane

Crazy thing is I have a 1/48th maybe 1/50th scale Cardinal that was an old resin desk display model. There were no details what-so-ever on the model. I have to dig it out.

The dealer I worked for up in Akron (Medina actually) had the 1977 "brochure" Cardinal. If you got one of the pamphlets for the plane there was our plane on the cover and out on the ramp.
