spike7451
Harriers used to carry Hunting Aviation BL755 CBU's until they were banned,After that they carried AGM Maverick missiles.During Afghanistan, the usual weapon load would be either 540lb dumb bombs or 1000lb dumb bombs,CRV-7 rocket or SNEB Rocket pods & either 1000lb LGB's or,from late 2008, PW IV LGB's.Note tho the bombs are British standard & we do not use US LGB's. Julien (UK)
For the CRV-7 pods, harries in Afghanistan have been known to carry the full pod and the 6 shot practice pod. The six shot is set to 1 shot and can be used (I am told)to more accurately mark targets. These are pics of practice pods hence the blue; 6 shot Full Pod British Enhanced Paveway II The enhancement is the 2 GPS antenna on the nose. These communicate with the tailfuse by the conduit held on by 2 very large (and technical!) jubilee clips! Paveway III Paveway IV Julien
