dragan_mig31
I have no words to describe this level of master building. :jaw-dropping: I can only say outstanding job and keep the updates coming.

Scalephantomphixer
Building the horizontal stabiliser fairing with 0.10mm brass sheet.
Trojan Thunder
Nice to see you back Pierre! You work is precision as usual.
skidbuggy
I like the idea of using brass sheet to make the mounting plates for the engine pylons. I enjoy watching this thread. Alex
Scalephantomphixer
Thanks Alex :) Turning a brass sensor on my watchmaker lathe. I cut out from a 0.25mm thick brass sheet those two fences for the vertical stabiliser. As the glue seam will be very fragile I made small reinforcing pins. The new parts assembled. I corrected the panel lines and added the many inspection panels.
skidbuggy
Are you making your own photo etch for this one?
Scalephantomphixer
No photo etch. All brass parts are cut with scissors or a jeweler's jigsaw. A couple of photos before I paint the assembly (primer).

dragan_mig31
Man you will make all of us quit modelling after this one :D great job my friend.
Scalephantomphixer
After the paint job: two layers of heavily thinned Mr.Surfacer 1200 - wet sanding with 4000 and two layers of Tamiya XF-19. I added the trim rod. The glass parts are still masked. Missing for the time being are the stabiliser tabs and the many static dischargers.
Pirata
This is magnificent. I should've figured you were a watchmaker. Only a watchmaker can do this type of work. Guys like you are the reason that 1/72 is superior. You make the rest of us look good!
Scalephantomphixer
The parts arrived... A heep of small electronic parts. The NE555 IC, or the heart of the circuit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LpjAvfTd7MA Flashing LEDS, not yet what I want to achieve, but getting there. :D
Scalephantomphixer
Experimentations are running full speed... I connected the tail beacon to the circuit, changed a couple of resistors to have more power at the LEDs, tried various capacitors, etc In low light the effect is awesome :D Watch the video below! http://youtu.be/5sWEfvAtdwQ El Learjet passa

Just amazing work. Other than what I have said I am at a loss of words! Thanks for showing! Jeremy

Scalephantomphixer
An important milestone has just been reached: I glued the interior to the right body part.. This requires a lot of care: everything needs alignement in all directions and must be held while the glue dries.
