Old Man
Just came across this at a place I have never heard of: http://hobbyterra.com/product.asp?idProduct=790 Has anyone seen this kit? Is it a new limited-run item, or the old Heller under a fresh label?
ross blackford
:D, Hello Old Man, The A-model I-153 kit is neither new nor the Heller kit reboxed, it's an A-model original and has been around for quite a few years now. It has its own issues and I haven't seen one in the flesh but there is a discussion over at Modeling the VVS forum at Hyperscale. , Ross. That looks pretty grim, from the write-up and pictures. Damned shame.
ross blackford
:D, Yes it sure is Old Man. You'd think Heller at least could have got it right seeing as there is an I-153 in the Armee D'Lair Museum in Paris. Hopefully someone will be able to measure one of the Chaikas restored to flying condition in New Zealand by Sir Tim Wallis in the 1990s. He also restored a number of I-16s. , Ross. Aleksandar
I was always stunned that ICM has produced a fantastic line of Polikarpov's fighters in 1/72nd (I-15, 15bis, 16), but never even bothered with the Chaika???
