Flankerman
A little project in between other builds.... This is the Amodel Sukhoi T-49 - an experimental machine to test the use of 'isoenthropic' intakes. A stepping-stone between the Su-9/11 and the Su-15.... It will sit nicely with my other models of Sukhoi fighters. Ken
Two Mikes
Excellent work Ken on a very unique aircraft! I am sure the A Model kit was no slap together either. Well done.
dragan_mig31
Ken I admire you more and more with every build.
Sebastijan
Great job, Ken! I was thinking of buying one myself. How was the fit? I understand most of the components are same as Su-11 and when I was building that one, it was a real PITA!
Flankerman
Great job, Ken! I was thinking of buying one myself. How was the fit? I understand most of the components are same as Su-11 and when I was building that one, it was a real PITA! I think its the Su-9U kit - with a new fuselage sprue plus the nosecone halves and the triangular fairings around the intakes. You get the same two-seat cockpit tub - although you use only the front part. The only issues I had with it was fitting the triangles to the flared-out intake sides and blending them into the sides and nosecone - a little filler soon sorted it out. The decal sheet is excellent - loads of stencils and they all went on without any setting/softening stuff. Like I say - just a simple build in between other stuff Ken

Flankerman
the lines are similar to the Supermarine swift... But only if you squint......... Excuse the Swift - its a 'conversion' from about 20 years ago - using a Hasegawa F-11F-1 Tiger. It has somehow survived all these years....... Ken
