Kevin Callahan
Here is the latest one across the finish line: one of the more complex kits of the 1990s, what with all those dropped slats and flaps. Lots of colors on it too, so the pre-unveiling model weighed about 5 pounds in masking tape alone. Still, I'm pretty pleased with it, though on further reflection I probably should have gone for aftermarket decals. At this time, Hasegawa was still printing a cream color instead of white, and their decals tend to yellow quickly in any case. As always, more details on the 72 Land blog referenced in my sig line. Thunderchief105
A very nice little Vark you have there sir. I really like the Bicentennial markings, what squadron and base are they for? The family was stationed at a couple different F-111 bases when I was growing up.
Kevin Callahan
Chief - The F-111 was in the 20th TFW based at Upper Heyford UK. I found a link to Wiki showing a photo of it visiting Ramstein AFB in 1976. F-111E Oh, and that reminds me. Though I haven't been able to change the header for this topic, the model is an F-111E, not an F-111C. D'oh! That's what comes of typing these things up from memory....
