Lotus-14
Hello to all, I am trying to gather information for a scratch built CL-44D-6 "Swing-tail" version of the CL-44. I have a fair amount of info on the Bristol Britannia, but I need to find out the configuration of the cockpit of the "D-6". This is the version with cockpit windows similar to the CV-880, to meet a requirement of the FAA, as the Britannia type windows didn't. I have some general arrangement drawings from flight manuals, but the drawings are more or less representational, and are not really scale; particularly in the area of the cockpit and nose. I have done numerous overlapping web searches, and have contacted the websites dedicated to the CL-44, but have had no luck from those sources. If anyone has any knowledge, or material that might help, please let me know. Tim

It may be of some use, I am not at home now, so I have no info to forward on the book. Cheers, Tony
rcaf_100
Apart from the book 'Canadair: The First 50 Years' already mentioned by Tony there is a book by Air Britain specifically on the CL-44 called 'The CL-44 Story'. Canadair Book: http://www.canavbooks.com/Publications/Canadair/English/ CL-44 Book: http://www.tahs.com/books/AB%20CL-44%20Swingtail.htm Hope this helps.
