Bout friggin time someone did it!!!!

I cannot wait to get my hands on this!!!!

Just read that over on HS. I have only one thing to say. I'M IN!!!!!

Granted, Brett showed tha CAD drawings and there were several errors, but still. Oh, I'm hanging on to my remaining 31 RM P-61 kits in my stash.

I'd love to see it, I just got a look at the Fw-189,nice kit, I had no idea they were so nice, I wish I would have bought more than just that one (which was actually for a Club member)

I have 2 P-61's I'd like to do, I did build one with the Monogram kit years ago, I sure would like to do another.

I hope they include the upper gun turret.

Sprue pics up:

the top turret looks to be there.

Jari

The markings shown are for a turretless P-61A-1. Only the first 40-some P-61As had the turret. Most Pacific based P-61 had fixed upper guns that looked very much like the turret. Be sure to research the aircraft you're building.

I'm very much looking forward to this kit.

Cheers,

If I only had one choice to buy a kit, it would be this one. Thank heavens someone finally

came out with a new tool. Now, I can build one without having to worry about fit issues on the clear pieces.

I mirror your thoughts. Fingers crossed that the fit will be of excellent engineering and quality!

I think i just wet myself a little bit!! always wanted to build a P 61 but didn't like the fit issues of the glazing in the RM kit and having bought the Fw 189 kit i'm sure it will be of the same high quality.

This is great news!!!....just hope it actually goes into full production & makes it to the shelves.

Not intending to hijack this thread, but is this the same outfit that was going to release a 32nd B-25 'Strafer' also?....still have a pre-order with Gordon for that one.

I don't think so the 32nd B-25 was from Wings-Scale. the new 48th scale P-61 is from Great Wall Models.

Just a question for you, and I don't want to sound snooty, but if there are several errors, are you planning on contacting GW to let them know. GW maybe showing CAD drawings to the modelling world to test the waters to see if anyone sees errors and are hoping peeps will write/email to let them know.

Just my opinion, but it may be worth it to contact them to let them know.

Cheers

I think it was said that it is slated for a late July '11 release. I'd say you get whatever they've already got at this point.
