The Mikester
Were they wearing fighter jock garb or the one piece flight suitslike the bomber pilots? What about the Bordfunker? Thanks, Mike
Stona
A quick shufty through a few references shows that the Bf110 crews almost invariably wear the one piece flight suit. It's modelled here by Hauptmann Gunther Reinecke of 1./JG76. Both men wore the same flight suit but they did wear different parachutes. The pilot wore a seat pack and the rear crew member a back pack. Jennings
I was gonna say "Luftwaffe" would be the appropriate uniform :) Be kinda silly for them to wear an RAF uniform or something!

The Luftwaffe's B2 Schwimmweste (life vest) was much sought after and worn by RAF pilots who found it superior and more comfortable than their standard issue "Mae West". The B2 is the inflatable one issued to fighter pilots, not the Kapok one that looks like it would be more likely to sink you than save you! Steve
