redgriffins38
Hey all, Ok so I am a little bord with “normal†airplane models. I feel a What-if build coming on! So here is what I have in mind. I have a 1/48 B-1 in my stash and it is calling my name. This is what I was thinking. I was also think about doing one big bomb bay. Now what is its mission? Will it be nothing more than a bomber or something else like an aerial ICBM or Satellite lunch platform? Also who should it belong to? Any thing else that I might not of thought about that could be added or modified to the plane? Any help is great!
Wolfgun33
Looks very interesting. Hmmm....I think there should still be horizontal stabilizers in the back. But maybe have them attached to the fuselage instead of the tail plane. Or maybe twin vertical stabilizers canted outward like the Silent Eagle? I think it should still be a US bird. Maybe like a highly upgraded one?
Maker
Now what is its mission? Fire bomber in Canadair CL-415 colors!
RRTRENT
why mess with perfection. Are you British?
dwomby
Wouldn't the canards need to be swept too? David
wh1skea
You could go with the whole B-1R concept and just cram it full of AMRAAMs
spike7451
I have a RAF Rockwell/BAe MR7 (B-1) in the works at present.
Trigger
You could go with the whole B-1R concept and just cram it full of AMRAAMs I've thought about building one of these; new intakes, hybrid F-22/F-35-style finish (overall dark gray, lighter gray radome, aft radome, tail and arrays on the leading edge forward of the wings, gold tinted transparencies), LOAN-type exhausts. Frankhenrylee
I'm interested in this B-1R idea for a 1/72 I just got. Saves me the problem with the exhaust cans. Would you move the engine nacelles to the top and blend them in? The slanted tails would be a nice touch too.
Frankhenrylee
Found this http://www.defence.pk/forums/military-forum/42198-future-warfare-b-1r.html Looks pretty cool, just need 28 1/72 Aim-120's now.
