Flight 666
Hi Folks, today if took the finish line of my last 9 month project Hercules EC 130 V ; US Coast Guard. This model it´s a mix from Italeri C-130 J , 1:72, Flightpath PA parts and engines and the hawkeye models conversion kit and decals. Here are just a few pics . For more details I´ll come on later in this treat. Hope you enjoy All the best

Flight 666
Thanks for you nice feedback. For giving you an expression what you have to do to build a " V " out of the Italeri " J " . First off all there are big difference on fuselage. The windows have to be changed from " bullseye " to rectangle the next step was building the air intake on right side in front of the wheelhouse To build the intake i did it in sandwich structure and filled it with 2K car putty. Same Same but different i did to the left side, because the wheelhouse of this kit is also to short.
Sebastijan
beautiful work!
Flight 666
After I put the fuslege together I took an eye on the wings and engines. First cut off all parts The kit engines don´t work because this are not Allison T56-A-15 so I ordered the Flightpath set. to can incorporate this parts I formed little walls at the wing parts so I can put it together. A little putty and that´s it The exhaust also needed a little operation . This was made under use some electrical parts for the exhaust, some electronic contacts out of an old handy to build the blade wheel, some wire 0,3 mm and self advertise alum foil 0,2 mm Edited August 9, 2011 by Flight
Flight 666
After this work was done , I put everything together and again I was looking for pics and stories. And not to forget I got a big help from a gay who´s a real expert of C-130. He gave pics and was following my build off report before I did something wrong. The next part needs to be changed / completed was the random beam. Hawkeye Mo dells ( Australia ) don't take a big look on the originality here the parts but there a some parts missing. At the end I did this. ( Made out of copper foil from a cpu cooler 0,5 mm )
Flight 666
the rest of the story is is very fast told. I did the ADS -system front and rear, a cooling air box at the right fuselage under the wing and complete all this together . This Parts are self made out of plasticine metal . Its hard after 20 min. so you can revise with drill or sand it or what ever you want. This stuff normally is used to fix damaged at alum parts. ADS rear ADS front Air Box out of copper and a 1:87 scale car wheel. If u like some more details I´ll do it tomorrow good night and regards Edited August 8, 2011 by Flight

But this is not that important anymore, I´m glad to have it done . In September I´ll take it to switzerland at an modellers expo, and will see what reactions i get. Flight 666
O.K. Folks, here are the promised details. Sorry for the long time, but I had a little trouble with my cam. The under wing section with the Flightpath PE parts and engines The ADS systems: and some Radar ans fuselage close ups During my research I Found out that the operators unit was not a fix build in, but a container to move in and out. looks like this this is complete scratch with using some electronic parts out of handys and computers. Thanks for looking and hope you´ll enjoy. Have a nice day
Trojan Thunder
Lovely job, I have the same conversion. Looks like I need to check my references. the Hawkeye conversion was made a long time ago by the company's previous owner. The current owner is more thorough with research these days on conversion sets. I dont think this one will be updated for some time. I will need to save this thread for when I do mine. I assume you rescribed the whole kit? Edited August 16, 2011 by Trojan Thunder

And if you like i can Link you at my build off report, there you can see all what you have to change and why. I had a big help from a really Hercfreak there.
