Supertom
Hey all, My wife's purchased a ton of dollhouse furniture and promptly put me in charge of putting it together. Since this stuff isn't IKEA, is there a recommended wood glue to use? I was thinking of Gorilla Glue but I remembered that the stuff expands. I was at Hobbytown today and was amazed at the varieties of wood glue they have. Even Testor's has two kinds - brown tube (wood) and green tube (wood & metal). Any good recommendations then? I gotta pick some up later today.
Bob Beary
I'd probably use plain old yellow carpenter's glue. Paint it on with an old brush in a thin coat and clean up with water. Bob
Grenadier37
I've had great results with good old Elmer's Wood Glue.
dnl42
Agree. Any of the yellow wood glues. Definitely not Gorilla glue.

Pep
I like gorilla but you meet a strong clamp. Otherwise it's all over the place. You could also do liquid nails it expands less then gorilla
Neo
Get some Weldbond it a white glue that will glue any material together like anything ive seen before AND it drys CLEAR Great stuff Edited September 10, 2011 by Neo
spejic
I would also go with regular wood or white glues - they can be thinned with water for delicate application, and removed with water and a little work if you make a mistake. There is a Testors Cement for Wood (green tube) which is nice for balsa aircraft because it's strong and takes flexing and dampness well, but it is messy and hard to control for your purposes.
