Bloomberg needs to pull his head in, if it weren't for those responders probably many more than the was it 2995 civilians would have died. Then there's the 300 odd firies and paramedics that died and the 60 PA and Police Officers that also died. What a shocking shambles that is, when I first read it the other day I couldn't believe my eyes. To me that's just the hide of arrogance on Bloomberg's part, whatever his reasons, and I'm sure there will be many who see his reasons as nothing more than excuses. Those people should be there (or have been there by now). What a shoddy way to treat those whom he depends on every day to keep the people of New York safe. Just shocking.
