Sebastijan
cool! those wingfolds doesn't seem to be much of an improvment over kit parts... especially if you'd play a bit with some wiring with the kit parts ;)

Benner
after 1 month and 2 days since my order for the SAC landing gear was sent out, it finally arrived on Thursday. So, i've finally closed up the engine sections. Just a bit more photoetch to add and they will be ready for painting. The front section of the engines are loaded with fishing sinkers. the nose landing gear is going to need some surgery. This is what is given which is a copy of the Kinetic gear. doesn't look like what I need so it will require some surgery ... http://data.primeportal.net/hangar/bill_spidle/e-2c/E-2C-162618-3.jpg
EagleAviation
Do you think its worth the money replacing the LG struts with SAC pieces?
Benner
Do you think its worth the money replacing the LG struts with SAC pieces? for the amount of weight I'm putting into the front so it's not a tail sitter, I think it's the safe route for extra strength in the landing gear. Benner
after a long hiatus and building 5 other models, I'm back to working on the E-2C. Did some painting today:
Bigasshammm
Do you think its worth the money replacing the LG struts with SAC pieces? Absolutely. The one I built ended up being one of the heaviest models I've ever handled. Plastic or flesh! Lol.
Benner
engines are glued on, and the rest dry fitted. I left the wind shield off as I have no idea how much weight I will need when the wings, radome, etc. are glued on.
phantom
A lot. I used a empty paint bottle filled with small fishing weights. Glued right behind the cockpit. Still need more weight.
Benner
dry fit of all the bigger parts: now that I have enough weight in the thing so it's not a tail sitter, I can close up the cockpit area.
Scot M
Nice work so far.Do you have a before/after shot of the nose gear strut work?
Benner
Nice work so far.Do you have a before/after shot of the nose gear strut work? no, I didn't take one, maybe later. currently putting on the walkways. I didn't like the color of the decals so I'm painting over them.

Benner
add some wires, wasn't sure how this would turn out as I normally don't have to do this for the jet models I build. tweezers were the essential tool, and a drill bit for a three spots I put holes into the model. pictured is my finest bit which I used to put a hole into fuselage by the insignia. and the result before painting the wires.
