Flankerman
Looking at the pics from the Tokiyo Hobby Fair it looks like Hobby Boss are doing a 1:350 scale Surcouf Another one to add to my growing collection of 1:350 scale subs...... I wish they would turn their attention to some of the inter-war and wartime British subs.... The ill-fated K-Class, HMS X-15, HMS M1, M2 & M3 etc - as well as WWII T, U & V Classes.... The postman delivered my Bronco Models Akula yesterday....... Must knuckle down and get them started...... Ken

vimana
I wonder if we'll ever see a Surcouf in 1/144? Sure, it'd be an enormous piece of plastic, but not really much bigger than the Trumpeter 1/144 Seawolf, and the larger scale would allow builders to really go all-out and superdetail this monster sub (and its Besson MB.411 observation seaplane) to our hearts' content. Some aftermarket producer would really clean up, too, supplying all the intricate photoetch everyone would want.
ChippyWho
Mr Cleaver didn't hang around! 1:350 Surcouf Interesting vessel, indeed.
