VA-115EFR
A while ago, I purchased the reissue Revell A-6E Intruder, and ever since has been a s-l-o-w build due to my busy schedule. Due to seeing everyone's excellent builds on here, I've been debating whether to post my novice work, so here it goes. My plan is to pose her as trapping aboard a carrier. I've cut and dropped the flaps and slats which proven to be a pain in the behind, and have taken a lot of the build time (still working on it) will have the wing tip speed brakes open as well. http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e376/A-6FAN/Jasonsmodelpics001.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e376/A-6FAN/Jasonsmodelpics012.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e376/A-6FAN/Jasonsmodelpics011.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e376/A-6FAN/Jasonsmodelpics010.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e376/A-6FAN/Jasonsmodelpics014.jpg I've also rescribed the panel lines which right now looks iffy, but I'm hoping will look better after priming. I plan to build her as a tanker using two wing tanks from a Prowler model and modifying the center tank as a buddy store. PLEASE any tips or suggestions are appreciated. Those wings sure look like they were a challenge! It is coming along nicely. Look forward to seeing more of your bird.
robw_uk
very nice.... look forward to seeing this one progress... and love the wings - something I had considered on the Prowler but wasnt brave enough to attempt......
VA-115EFR
Thanks guys. Rob, had I known it would've been this much of a headache, I would've left the wings alone. Lol. Comparing my work to others here, it drives me nuts because everyone's assemblies are so clean and precise, while mine not so much. It's a challenging but fun build nevertheless.
