P-51 tail wheel well pics needed

Recommended Posts

Hi friends!

While the main gear wheel wells are really well covered by photographic references, cant find a single pic showing this area in a real aircraft. I don't like a all the way its represented in Tamiya's kit so will like to build something to replace it.

Thanks in advance.

What exactly are you looking for?

I'm not willing to post pictures that belong to others but I can't believe you didn't find tail well pictures in online Mustang walkarounds.

Do you know a place with the pics I need? Then just post the url... That's the help I was asking for.

Thanks for your comments on how easy it should have been to me...

So kind Michael... I was looking for pics on the well itself... That's more the tail leg...

Some friend at a spanish forum have just post something to me on it

It's not an operational aircraft but a preserved one but it's a good start point anyway... It seems when these bird were operational there was some kind of canvas protecting the leg that this one doesn't have.... Will keep looking out there...

Again, thanks!
