Tomcatfreak
I just saw on cybermodeler, that TRU has announced a F-117 in 1/32 for march 2012!! Did anyone have more infos/pics?
Berkut
When Song said "black projects" he meant it literally. :) He doesn't work in Trumpeter anymore btw.
Tomcatfreak
So it is true? Where did cybermodeler have this information?? From Song?
loftycomfort
Maybe Trumpeter is on a stealth kick. Could a 1/32 F-22 or *gasp* 1/32 PAK-FA be far behind? Terry
graves_09
Really? How are they going to hold back the urge to fill the thing with thousands of rivits that aren't there... Dear Trumpeter, For your information, there are NO exposed rivits on the F-117! Thank you. Edited November 1, 2011 by graves_09
thegoodsgt
I'll buy one!
Ol Crew Dog
And no panel lines would be nice as well!
Finn
Trumpeter has the sprue pics up: http://www.trumpeter-china.com/a/en/product/fly/1_32_Series/2012/0302/2071.html can't say for rest of the kit but the weapons look less than ideal, only the GBU-10 would be used and the back end needs improving. The rest of the weapons are for the spares bin, unless somebody wants to do a Wild Weasel version. Jari
dedalus
Can't wait until SAC has that landing gear available!
Dave Williams
Trumpeter has the sprue pics up: http://www.trumpeter-china.com/a/en/product/fly/1_32_Series/2012/0302/2071.html can't say for rest of the kit but the weapons look less than ideal, only the GBU-10 would be used and the back end needs improving. Jari Unfortunately, the common weapon is the GBU-27, which has the Paveway III seeker, BLU-109 warhead, and Paveway II tail. Trumpeter only gives you the Paveway II mk.84 warhead GBU-10. It's disappointing because Trumpeter does make a 1/32 GBU-27. They include it in their F-14B kit, where it can't be used. It's also in their US Weapons - Guided Bombs weapons set. So Trumpeter does make the proper weapon for the F-117, but for some inexplicable reason they don't include it in the kit. Inquisitor
but for some inexplicable reason they don't include it in the kit. Did you expect anything else from Trumpeter? I was already expecting them to do something like this, including all sort of weapons (even some A-A ones) except the GBU-27 duh!
Berkut
Am i the only one who thought the one built for nuremberg toy fair looked all weird?
Andre
So Trumpeter does make the proper weapon for the F-117, but for some inexplicable reason they don't include it in the kit. "So you'll buy our weapons set" is an inexplicable reason these days..? ;) Cheers, Andre
Inquisitor
"So you'll buy our weapons set" is an inexplicable reason these days..? ;) Cheers, Andre If they wanted you to buy their weapons set they wouldn't put any in the box. They'd save some money and plastic by not including any. ;) Edited March 3, 2012 by Inquisitor
Finn
The GBU-27 in the weapon set is a seperate sprue, except for the front dome which is clear but on a small sprue, so they could have easily added the GBU-27 to the F-117 kit if they wanted to. Jari
Youngtiger1
Eric, is building one on LSP and it will show you guys what is in this kit... http://forum.largescaleplanes.com/index.php?showtopic=38516

Koen L
And as was pointed out on Britmodeller they put 'B1' and 'B0' on the decalsheet instead of the 80 and 81 FY's!
Modelmkr
Hmm... No GBU-27 + No throttle stick + screwed up decals + my ever erroding attitude towards Trumpeter = no sale for me. Not that anyone cares :P
ST0RM
Pass to Eric over on LSP, that the ejection seat was correct. It does have two sets of lap belts. One set are the standard to keep you in the seat and the second are to attach you/your harness to the seat pack under your butt. Bummer about the crappy cockpit details and missing throttle. -Jeff
Finn
Instructions are up: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10169583 Jari
plane bum
TO loftycomfort trumpeter is producing a 1/32 f-22 and f-35 best guess late 2012 to mid 2014 they were listed in an issue of scaleaviation modeler back in late 2010 or early 2011. I'VE got my eyes on both of them.
KursadA
That decal sheet is an absolute disaster. I will intervene and do a 1/32 F-117 decal sheet, more info will be posted in this thread.
