bernie mckenna
Want to redo the cockpit in my Tamiya J.Which would be the better detailed and fitting cockpit Aries or Black Box. TIA Bernie McKenna
DaneBramage
Good Question: Is there something by True Details for the Revell 1/32 kit? Hell I guess I'll look. What is best for this kit?
Dave Williams
Over at another forum it's been said that the Aires set for the Tamiya F-4J actually fits well (I know, I know, it's hard to believe :P ). For the Revell F-4E, I think only Legend made a resin pit for it. True Details just made F-4 seats and I don't think BB/Avionix made anything for it.
jmel
The Aires set is fantastic, but it gives us USAF-style seats. Even though Aires is "quite confident in their research."
Macbain
I am putting an Aires cockpit in my Tamiya 1/32 F-4J at the moment. The Aires pit has the same attachments as the kit tub, and the screw holes line up well. There is room for the side walls also, with little trimming. I can't comment on the seat accuracy, as I have no idea...
Scotsman
Aires sets have gotten a lot better over the last few years , I used their 1/32 Tornado pit and that fitted like a dream , ditto their 1/32 F-16 Well Well set , some of the older sets may have been a challenge, but the current ones seem to streets ahead in terms of ease of fit -
