1/32 F-4J cockpit question

Recommended Posts

Over at another forum it's been said that the Aires set for the Tamiya F-4J actually fits well (I know, I know, it's hard to believe :P ).

For the Revell F-4E, I think only Legend made a resin pit for it. True Details just made F-4 seats and I don't think BB/Avionix made anything for it.

I am putting an Aires cockpit in my Tamiya 1/32 F-4J at the moment. The Aires pit has the same attachments as the kit tub, and the screw holes line up well. There is room for the side walls also, with little trimming.

I can't comment on the seat accuracy, as I have no idea...

Aires sets have gotten a lot better over the last few years ,

I used their 1/32 Tornado pit and that fitted like a dream , ditto their 1/32 F-16 Well Well set , some of the older sets may have been a challenge, but the current ones seem to streets ahead in terms of ease of fit -
