ReccePhreak
I can edit this post, and my reply to it, but on my older posts or replies, I no longer see the edit button on the bottom. What's up? Edited November 9, 2011 by ReccePhreak

HOLMES
oh it works for ME I tried older ones and I get the option to edit still/could it be the length of the thread/post, I mean the time line... Edited November 9, 2011 by HOLMES
ReccePhreak
It must be a REALLY SHORT timeline, because I now can't even edit this post! Larry
strikeeagle801
I've had the same thing as well. Aaron
GreyGhost
The "Edit" button is gone ... I say we organize a search party ASAP ! ... Edit: It's here or the moment ... Still there ... Gregg Edited November 10, 2011 by GreyGhost

That edit button only lasted 34 minutes!!! I hope this forum is not changing to what the Luftwaffe Experten Modelling Board does, where you can only edit your post for 30 minutes. After that, only the Mods can do any changes! Edited November 10, 2011 by ReccePhreak
martin_sam_2000
wow...that sucks...hopefully we hear from the mods abou this soon. being able to edit the topic of my post was a great feature. SBARC
Greetings everyone. The ARC Mod team has been discussing this issue over the past few days. We originally set it to permit post editing for 30 minutes....but that seemed too short a time frame.....so it has now been changed to (2 days). Most forums have some sort of editing window before posts become permanent and it was decided after much discussion by the ARC Mod team that this should be also in place on ARC. For now the Mod team is feeling their way through this issue in an effort to find the best compromise.
SBARC
We'll look mat this issue in a couple of days and see what people want. Nothing is written in stone. I'm seeing some very good reasons to permit long term editing of posts..
Tomcat Tweeker
I don't see the need to limit editing of posts at all..Especially in the buy sell sell section. Maybe just allow the thread starter have infinite editing privileges...

I'm seeing some very good reasons to permit long term editing of posts.. Thanks for the update. The one forum that really needs long term editing (IMHO) is the Buy/Sell forum. Otherwise we would have to add a reply, saying disregard this post and see my new sales post. Larry
SBARC
Ok....I just changed it back to unlimited editing. Sorry for this......we had the best intentions.

Billabob
Where is this phantom "edit button" located? I've been searching for it on one of my posts but no luck.
ReccePhreak
Where is this phantom "edit button" located? I've been searching for it on one of my posts but no luck. It should be on the bottom right edge of your post, next to the "Reply" & "MultiQuote" buttons. Larry
Billabob
Thanks Larry. I don't know why I didn't see it.:russian-roulette-smiley:
HOLMES
Where is this phantom "edit button" located? I've been searching for it on one of my posts but no luck. Billabob, it is usually on the bottom right hand of the post/comment that you have posted ..so when you post a comment . if you make a mistake or want to add then if you look on your OWN post you will see it... there is edit reply and multiquote in that order on the bottom right of your post as I have done now...
