TonyR
Here's a query to ponder . Concerning the PLAAF Aerobatic Team 'August 1st' ... Allegedly, during the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, the team changed from their normal Blue/White scheme and flew a five ship formation with each aircraft sporting one of the colours of the Olympic Rings ...... Does anyone know if this is 100% correct and are there any pictures taken during that period, that could be posted on this board? . Any help would be most appreciated. TIA ... Tony R Tony Personaly, I had doubts that they were ever painted in the five olympics colours. I believe there was a photo in the big Mig-21 book by Yefim Gordon, but it looked photoshopped to me. I would be glad to be proven wrong. Daniel
Autobahnstormer
Tony, There are lithographs of the proposed paint scheme, but I've never seen a picture of the machines painted up like that. Personally I'm sceptical. Phil
